Kandil Simit

Ingredients
- 125 g of margarine
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of yogurt
- 1/3 tablespoon of mahaleb
- 1 egg (yolk for dough and white for top)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- Flour (as needed, about 2 1/2 – 3 cups)
- 50 g of sesame seeds

Kandil Simit Recipe
- Mix margarine, oil, yogurt, mahaleb, 1 egg yolk, salt, sugar and baking powder together in a pot.
- Add in sieved flour until the dough is soft but not sticky. Cover and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into golf-ball sized pieces, and form into rings. Dredge the dough in egg white and cover with sesame.
- Set onto a tray and cook in an oven on medium heat.
