Rice With Vermicelli

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of  rice
  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 tablespoons of barley vermicelli
  • 3 cups of beef stock (1 1/2 cups of beef stock for 1 cup of rice)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Directions

  1. Wash the rice, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of salt, and soak for 20-30 minutes in tepid water.
  2. Fry vermicelli in oil until it turns yellow. Add 3 cups of water and salt, and boil.
  3. Add sieved rice, stir and cover.
  4. Boil for 2-3 minutes, then lower the heat and boil until the water is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes. Stir and partially uncover for a short while.
